Are you passionate about agricultural technology and helping customers get the most out of their equipment? Johnson Tractor is looking for a Precision Field Operations Specialist to support customers with the installation, service, and optimization of precision agriculture solutions.
The Precision Field Operations Specialist provides technical expertise across CNH, Trimble, Ag Leader, Precision Planting, Raven, and Headsight product lines. This position works directly with customers and partners with Sales, Service, and Parts teams to deliver technology solutions that improve equipment performance, productivity, and customer success.
What You’ll Do:

Install, configure, calibrate, and service precision farming technology.

Troubleshoot GPS guidance systems, displays, sensors, and related precision equipment.

Provide hands-on customer training and technical support.
-
Assist customers with precision technology setup, operation, and optimization.

Support connected equipment management through the Vehicle Management System (VMS).

Stay current on new products and technology through factory and vendor training.

Partner with Sales, Service, and Parts teams to provide customer solutions.

Support precision farming demonstrations, open houses, field days, and customer events.

Provide remote and phone support through the Precision Support hotline.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Strong mechanical, electrical, and computer troubleshooting skills.
-
Ability to learn and support evolving agricultural technology.
-
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
-
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Valid driver's license required.
-
Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including increased travel during planting and harvest seasons.
Preferred:
-
Experience with precision agriculture technology, GPS guidance systems, or agricultural equipment.

Experience with CNH, Trimble, Ag Leader, Precision Planting, Raven, Headsight, or similar technology platforms.

Technical training, associate degree, or agricultural technology background.

Previous dealership or equipment industry experience.
What to Expect:
-
This position involves a combination of office, dealership, and field-based work, including time spent in the office, service shop, showroom, and customer locations.

Regular travel is required between Johnson Tractor locations within the assigned territory, as well as to customer sites for installations, troubleshooting, training, and support.

Travel demands and workload may increase significantly during peak agricultural seasons, including planting and harvest, when customer support needs are highest.

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, dirt, noise, grease, and varying temperatures.

Work may involve exposure to moving equipment and mechanical hazards while following appropriate safety procedures.

Evening hours, weekend work, and extended travel may be required during critical farming periods to support customer needs.

Primary work location may be assigned to another nearby Johnson Tractor location based on business needs and candidate location.
