We’re looking for an Assistant Service Manager to support our Rochelle, IL Service Department—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating logistics, and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. If you’re organized, detail-driven, and ready to keep our service operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

Logistics & Equipment Coordination:

  • Plan, organize, and schedule equipment hauling

  • Monitor and support maintenance of hauling vehicles

  • Assign and support drivers; reinforce equipment safety practices

  • Develop efficient hauling routes to minimize delays

  • Communicate with the Service Director when road permits may be required

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal hauling regulations

 

Shop & Equipment Support: 

  • Safely load, unload, and tag equipment

  • Track equipment inventory, transfers, deliveries, and returns

  • Oversee wash bay activity and help maintain workflow

Documentation, Billing & Warranty Support:

  • Prepare and maintain service orders and department records

  • Assist with billing and warranty processing

  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation for service and hauling activity 

 

Customer & Team Support:

  • Serve as a secondary phone contact for customer and vendor inquiries

  • Greet customers, gather repair details, and understand service needs

  • Provide estimates and communicate repair status updates

  • Assist service management with daily operations and issue resolution

  • Help address logistical breakdowns or delays with quick, effective solutions

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Understanding of billing and warranty processes

  • Ability to safely load and unload equipment

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with the willingness to support technicians and drivers

  • Familiarity with hauling equipment or logistics is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Leadership qualities to help guide drivers and reinforce safety

  • Comfortable working with service software and documentation systems

  • Professional phone etiquette and customer-focused attitude

  • Valid driver’s license required

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Location: Rochelle, IL

  • Pay Range: Equivalent to $50,000–$70,000 annually, paid hourly (final rate based on experience, certifications, and skill level).
