Position: Service – Wash Bay
Johnson Tractor is accepting applications for a Service – Wash Bay candidate at our La Crosse, WI location. This position is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and maintaining the equipment in the dealership’s wash bay area, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are cleaned, sanitized, and presented to customers in excellent condition. This role supports the service department by assisting with routine vehicle inspections, prepping equipment for service, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and grounds.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a ag, cleaning, automotive, or maintenance role is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Basic knowledge of ag machinery and equipment components is an advantage.
Must possess good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment or tools (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to perform physical labor, including standing for long periods, bending, and working outdoors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Wash and Clean Equipment: Wash, clean, and sanitize agricultural equipment, trucks, lawn/garden machinery, and vehicles to dealership standards.
Wax and Detail: Wax and detail both the interior and exterior of equipment, ensuring a professional finish and customer-ready appearance.
Paint Touch-Up: Perform touch-up paint work on equipment as needed to maintain its appearance and prevent wear.
Grease Equipment: Grease and lubricate equipment as required to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Grounds Maintenance: Maintain and mow the dealership grounds to keep the area neat, clean, and safe.
General Facility Clean-Up: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the wash bay and other dealership areas, including sweeping, garbage removal, and ensuring the cleanliness of the overall facility.
Documentation: Record and document processes used for cleaning, detailing, and maintenance tasks, including any materials used or special procedures followed.
Assist Service Team: Support technicians and service personnel by preparing equipment for service, inspection, or delivery to customers.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols related to the use of cleaning products and equipment, as well as maintaining a safe work environment.
Customer-Facing Duties: Ensure that cleaned equipment meets customer presentation standards, ensuring satisfaction with the cleanliness and appearance upon delivery.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in an outdoor setting, exposed to varying weather conditions.
Requires physical activity such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times while working in the wash bay and grounds areas.
