Job Summary: We are seeking a Precision Farming Specialist to sell, install, and service precision farming products, including CNH, Trimble, Ag Leader, Precision Planting, Raven, and Headsight. This position primarily serves our central Wisconsin locations, focusing on our La Crosse, Arcadia, and Richland Center stores. The coverage area spans south of Highway 10 and north of Richland Center, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of precision farming technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Sell, install, and service precision farming technology across supported product lines.
Provide hands-on customer support and training to maximize product efficiency and performance.
Assist with managing new connected units through the VMS system.
Stay current on factory training for all serviced product lines.
Support customer engagement efforts, including open house events.
Facilitate internal training between Sales and Service teams to enhance product knowledge.
Assist in providing phone support for the Precision Support hotline.
Qualifications:
Experience with precision farming technology and related product lines preferred.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel within the designated service area.
Valid driver’s license required.
Working Conditions:
Primarily field-based, with frequent travel to customer locations and Johnson Tractor stores in La Crosse, Arcadia, and Richland Center.
Hands-on work involving equipment installation, troubleshooting, and customer training.
Seasonal workload variations, with peak demands during planting and harvest seasons.
Some evening and weekend work may be required, especially during peak seasons.
